OVERVIEW
When the Saimaa Brewery came to MacWell with the opportunity to develop a brand proposition and communication strategy, there was only one thing to say, and that was: “yes, yes”.

The concept was simple: create a uniquely Nordic ‘real cider’ that appealed to a more discerning consumer. A consumer who has grown beyond the acceptance of mass produced ciders commonly found on the store shelves.

Obviously, the competition for share of shelf and share of mind in retail is tough. It was critical to cut through the clutter with a brand identity for YES YES that was based on the fundamentals, but slightly tweaked to cause visual disruption on shelf without resorting to tired cliché.

With a minimalistic Scandinavian approach to labeling, the YES YES brand is readily identified and then further augmented using colourful and flavour specific patterns for both the year round and seasonal offerings.
